I firmly believe in that quote, and have always lived by it. Along with being owned by a houseful of domestic animals, I've volunteered with organizations working for wolves, swift foxes and wild cats, as well as the local zoo and bird sanctuary. I've written books on birds, reptiles & amphibians and South American carnivores.

Being a life long conservationist, it always annoyed me that stores selling wildlife motif products did nothing to help the animals, or educate the public. One sleepless night about 3:00 am the thought suddenly made its way to the surface of my brain - Hey! I can do that! And The Wild Carnivore was born.

Wild animals need all the help they can get in our crowded world. The more people that know about them, the more people there are speaking on their behalf.  Here at The Wild Carnivore, we tend to favor the smaller, little known species - those in need of a good press agent!

No product will be carried that in any way defiles, degenerates or shows a lack of respect for wild creatures. Selected products are noted as having a percentage of profits going to conservation, and links are provided to their websites.
